Dr. Mark W. Lischner is a Physician with the Sutter Physician Alliance in Roseville, California. He is also affiliated with Sutter Roseville Medical Center and Sutter Independent Physicians. Dr. Lischner received his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut and he received his Medical Degree (M.D.) from Yale University School of Medicine located in New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Lischner completed his Residency in Medicine and his Internship at Grady Memorial Hospital, Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Lischner completed his Fellowship in Pulmonary Disease at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx Municipal Medical Center, located in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Lischner also completed a significant amount of research in the Department of Pharmacology at Oxford University in Oxford, England. He became a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1970 and a Diplomat of the American Board of Pulmonary Diseases in 1972.
Dr. Lischner belongs to several professional organizations and societies including the American Thoracic Society (ATS), the California Thoracic Society (CTS), the American College of Physicians (ACP), the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), the California Medical Association (CMA), and the Sacramento Medical Society (SMS).
Dr. Lischner has numerous papers, articles, and studies to his credit that have been published in a wide variety of journals and other publications. For example, “Prevalence of Respiratory Symptoms in an Industrial Population” was published in an issue of the Chest Journal. The Chest Journal is the official publication of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) and it has been published monthly since 1935. Dr. Lischner has also published studies in the journal: Digestive Diseases and Sciences. For example, Dr. Lischner’s “A Study of Pneumoconiosis-Respiratory Symptoms & Physical Disability Among Those Exposed to Dusts in the Occupation,” was published in the journal some years ago.
Digestive Diseases and Sciences is a premier monthly medical journal in the fields of gastroenterology and hepatology. It features basic and clinical research, and clinical practice. The journal is currently in its 68 th year of publication.
