Dr. Lynn D. Wilson was listed as one of America’s Top Doctors for 2007, New York Magazine’s Best Doctors (2005-2007), and America’s Top Doctors for Cancer from 2005-2007.
Dr. Lynn D. Wilson is Associate Professor of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale University School of Medicine Department of Therapeutic Radiology and he is also Vice Chairman and Clinical Director of the Department of Therapeutic at Yale University School of Medicine as well as Dermatology Residency Training Program Director at the Department of Therapeutic Radiology. Dr. Wilson is also affiliated with Lawrence & Memorial Hospital Community Cancer Center in New London, CT., at 365 Montauk Avenue, 06320 (ofc: 860.444.3744, fax: 860.442.0053).
Dr. Wilson’s clinical interests include: benign and malignant tumors of the skin, cutaneous lymphoma, lung cancer, and head and neck cancer. His research interests are also cutaneous lymphoma, head and neck cancer, and lung cancer.
Dr. Wilson received his B.A. from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, in 1984. He attended the Yale University School of Medicine where he received his M.P.H. (with Distinction) in 1986. He received his Medical Degree (M.D.) in 1990 from George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Wilson completed his Internship in Internal Medicine from 1990-1991 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. From 1991-1994 and 1993-1994, Dr. Wilson completed his Residency in Therapeutic Radiology, also at Yale New-Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT.
Dr. Wilson’s list of faculty appointments is vast. In 1994 alone he held several positions at Yale. He was appointed Instructor at Yale University Department of Therapeutic Radiology from 1993-1994; Assistant Professor, also at Yale University Department of Therapeutic Radiology, from 1994-2000; Assistant Professor of the Yale School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology (1994-2000), and Assistant Professor of the Yale School of Medicine, Department of Surgery (1994-present). Dr. Wilson received the American Cancer Society Clinical Oncology Career Development Award in 1995.
The year 2000 proved to be an active year for Dr. Wilson’s appointments as well. He was Associate Professor of the Yale School of Medicine, Department of Therapeutic Radiology from 2000-2006, Associate Professor of the Yale School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology from 2000-2006, and currently, Professor of the Yale School of Medicine, Department of Therapeutic Radiology beginning in 2006.
Dr. Wilson has been a member of the American Board of Radiology (ABR) and the American Board of Radiation Oncology (ABRO) since 1995, and a member of the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME), since 1991.
